Amanda Ireland, MIPA FABRP
Amanda joined McCabe & Ford (as the firm was known then), in January 1990, having spent the previous four years working in the insolvency department of a large national firm of Chartered Accountants.
She qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2002, and is licensed to deal with all types of insolvency by the IPA. She has headed up the Insolvency Department for some years.
Amanda is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association and a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). She is a former committee member of the R3 Small Practices Group and has been a course director for the SPG annual conference. Amanda also previously organised insolvency courses and conferences for the South Eastern Society of Chartered Accountants (SESCA).
Consequently, the firm is now licensed by the ICAEW to carry out the reserved legal activity of non-contentious probate in England and Wales. Amanda is the firm’s Head of Legal Practice. Amanda sees this as a very exciting new area of expertise and skill, which has parallels with the insolvency work that she has enjoyed so much for many years now.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys gardening, socialising and travelling, particularly to the Far East. After many years of promising to take up golf but never getting around to it, Amanda finally started playing in 2016. While still very much a novice, she thoroughly enjoys her time on the golf course.
