Sittingbourne office – Cloud accounting bookkeeper and management accountant

Our Sittingbourne office is looking for a cloud accounting bookkeeper and management account. This role will involve working out of our Sittingbourne office but will include working out of the office at clients premises which are generally in Kent and within the greater London area. Full time access to a car is essential.

AAT desirable but not essential.

Working hours

Full time 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 5pm

Skills required

  • The desire to explore bookkeeping efficiencies within software packages
  • Ability to communicate with clients on a regular basis
  • Xero / Sage experience essential
  • QuickBooks experience desirable but not essential
  • Iris experience desirable but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of excel required

Salary

17k to 25K depending upon experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a list of clients so must be able to manage own workload including diary scheduling.
  • Ultimately reporting to the manager.
  • General day would be attend clients premises / office / WFH to carry out bookkeeping tasks, month end journal posting, bank reconciliations,  VAT returns, CIS returns, maintenance of year end schedules for accounts preparation,
  • Ad hoc accounts preparation
  • Payroll experience desirable but not essential

  • 4 weeks plus one day for each full year of service up to a maximum of 5 weeks
  • An additional day’s holiday at Christmas when stated by the partners

Cranbrook Office – Senior Accountant vacancy

Due to retirement our Cranbrook office is looking to recruit a senior accountant.

It is essential that applicants already have experience of working in an accountancy practice and so are able to complete day to day work to an advanced stage from the start.

The ideal candidate will be qualified ACCA or ACA, but we would also consider candidates who are qualified by experience.  The candidate will take on an existing client portfolio and be ambitious, keen to take on responsibility, building client relationships and assisting partners in securing new business leads.

The role includes accounts production, tax compliance and advice for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, also VAT returns and supervision of more junior staff and other ad hoc duties as required.  The candidate will be familiar with Sage, Xero and Quickbooks and will be required to assist the office in the drive to move clients to cloud based solutions. 

Hours full time – 37.5 per week.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Vacancy for Insolvency Administrator

The busy insolvency department of our Sittingbourne office is looking for an experienced, preferably CPI qualified, insolvency administrator.  The successful candidate will assist the Insolvency Practitioners with CVL’s, MVL’s, Bankruptcies and compulsory liquidations, including collecting book debts, dealing with creditors, directors and employees, placing statutory adverts, reviewing cases, writing reports and making distributions to creditors and shareholders.

The position is full time with the possibility of some working from home.  Salary to be agreed.
