Update 21 December 2021

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announces new Covid support measures

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a new £1 bn fund to help businesses in the leisure and hospitality sectors cope with the Omnicom wave of the pandemic.

This means that restaurants, bars and theatres who are struggling can apply for a grant of up to £6000 for each of the premises they own. These grants will be administered by local authorities.

Struggling businesses outside the hospitality and leisure sectors should apply to their local authority for a grant under the Additional Restrictions Grant.

For further guidance and to check whether you are eligible for the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) please visit the GOV.UK website here.
