Chancellor Rishi Sunak announces new Covid support measures
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a new £1 bn fund to help businesses in the leisure and hospitality sectors cope with the Omnicom wave of the pandemic.
This means that restaurants, bars and theatres who are struggling can apply for a grant of up to £6000 for each of the premises they own. These grants will be administered by local authorities.
Struggling businesses outside the hospitality and leisure sectors should apply to their local authority for a grant under the Additional Restrictions Grant.

The Statutory Sick Pay Scheme (SSPRS)
The Chancellor has also reintroduced the Statutory Sick Pay Scheme (SSPRS) so that businesses with fewer than 250 employees can claim money to cover sick pay for employees affected by Covid. For further details on the Statutory Sick Pay scheme please click here.
The Culture Recovery Fund
