What is the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme?
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) ended on 30 September 2021. You must submit your claim for September on or before 14 October 2021. Any amendments to your claim must be made on or before 28 October 2021.
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, also referred to as the ‘furloughing scheme’, is a government grant available to all UK businesses who operate a PAYE scheme. The government has confirmed that this includes the public sector, Local Authorities and charities.
The government has extended the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme until 30 September 2021.
For August and September the amount you can claimed has changed. The government will, during this time, pay 60% of wages up to a maximum cap of £1,875 for the hours the employee is on furlough.

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme will end on 30 September 2021. Claims for September must be submitted by 14 October 2021 and any amendments must be made by 28 October 2021.

Keep thorough records
Do ensure you keep all records supporting the amount of CJRS grant you claim, in case HMRC need to inspect this. You can view, print or download copies of your previously submitted claims by logging onto your CJRS service on the GOV.UK website.
